Dravyaguna is the department that deals with the study of medicinal plants i.e., Identification, properties, action, and therapeutic uses of plants with the correlation of fundamental principles of Ayurveda. It is the most important department of Ayurveda as it covers all the drugs which are important for nutrition and treatment.

Dravyaguna studies more than 600 medicinal plants explained in Ayurveda Samhita.
Department has a well-established Herbal Garden, demonstrating more than 300 medicinal plants on campus. Each plant is labeled with a name plant displaying their Sanskrit name, Latin name, Family, classification, and therapeutic uses according to Ayurveda.
Department has well established and well-equipped pharmacognosy and pharmacology laboratory for analytical studies of the drug.
